any advice for mommy going back to work?

I'm starting to get blue about leaving my princess at the sitter and driving away while I wish all day that I was with her. any survival tips? :(

Re: any advice for mommy going back to work?

  • Just wanted to give you ((HUGS))  I know how hard this is going to be for you.
  • (((hugs))) No advice, but I can imagine it isn't easy :(
  • The first few days are the hardest. It gets easier after that. When I was working I always made sure to spend as much time with Ruby as I possibly could, even if that meant not cleaning the house. I also had tons of photos of her at work.
  • I dont have any advice to offer either, but you definitely have my sympathies.  I will be right there with you starting Tues, and I can hardly bear the thought.  There will be a few of us in the same boat, hopefully we can be there for one another.
  • For me the hardest part was the first few weeks. My boys love the sitter and her twins and son are like their brother and sisters. They love it there which really helps.
  • Kel,

It sucks really. I have no advice. Just  find a place that little girl likes to go. That is a big part of it. I know Faith is well taken care of and held a lot. That makes it just a little bit easier to drop her off in the mornings. And some days I call and check on her too. I think about her all the time. Maybe that is why on the weekends I hold her the entire time she naps........all 2.5 hours of it!

Good Luck girl. It is not easy being a working Mommy.

  • I'm late on this but I just wanted to offer my support.  I have been back at work for four weeks now.  I hate it but it has gotten easier.  Wyatt stays with his grandparents so I call often and they email me pictures sometimes.  My desk is covered with pics of him and that helps.  Enjoy the rest of your time at home with her!!!  Be selfish about it because you will miss it :(
