Hair stylists recommendations inside 270?

I know we've done this a billion times, but the search (as always) doesn't work. My stylist apparently has disappeared -- his last place doesn't know where he went. :( So any recs, preferably near downtown or Clintonville area, less than $50 for a cut and style?

Re: Hair stylists recommendations inside 270?

  • After my stylist stopped doing hair, I tried a couple places and have started regularly going to Lucky 13 on High in Clintonville. Love them! They don't take appt., but only one time have I had to wait awhile. I really like Jesse ~ she's done a great job with my cuts & color. Here's their info:

    Women's Cut..........$21
    With shampoo and style.......$29
  • I've had really good experiences at the Aveda school near OSU's campus.  It takes a few hours, but since they need proficiencies, the haircut comes with a mini-massage, mini-facial, and all the good-smelling Aveda stuff.  Because they're checked by instructors, you also don't have to worry about walking out with one side shorter than the other unless you want it that way.

  • I go to Gina's on Grandview Ave. next to Stauff's.   I see Hillary usually, but I've dealt with several people there and have always been happy.  Rates are very reasonable -- definitely under $50, including tip.

  • I second Ginas in Grandview. I typically see John. He does a fantastic job!
  • I've recently started going to Kristen at Q salon on Henderson Rd.  She really listens to what you want, takes her time, and is very nice!  She charges $42 for a cut and style.
