Furnace Poll

Kind of boring, but inquiring minds want to know :)

1.  Have you turned your furnace on?

2.  Do you have a programable thermostat?

3. What do you keep your temps at?

4. If programming, what temps do you set for day and night?

Re: Furnace Poll

  • Ours is on, but it's set so low that it hasn't come on much. The thermostat sucks in our apt, so I have no clue what the temp is. It's "set" for about 68, but who knows. It's at least 70-72 upstairs.
  • 1. Yes, but it doens't kick on very much because we keep our house very cool and it's been relatively warm out...I am HOT all the time!!! I feel bad that my DH has to live in a meat locker for the time being.

    2. Yes

3 & 4. When we get up and while we are at work it's set at 68, then when we get home it goes to 70, then when we sleep it goes to 66.
  • 1. Yes

    2. Yes

    3. 68-70

    4. We don't have it programmed to set for day and night...we usually turn it up at night to 70 and keep it lower during the day.
  • 1. Yes  I'm always cold!

    2. No, I wish I did though.

    3. Around 68-69.

    4. Does not apply.

  • 1. Yes :(  I'm always cold, unless it's above 85.
    2.  Yes, and I love it!
    3.  Since I'm always cold, we make it comfortable for DH and I just spend my life under blankets and 6 layers of socks.  We sleep with it at 62, and it's at 64 during the day.
    4. I guess I don't understand the difference between this and #3.

thank god for an electric blanket and a husband to snuggle next to!

    2.  programmable...for sure!!

    3.  and 4.  Night time: 65, Daytime 67

This is actually a HUGE deal for me.  My ex always wanted at least 70 degrees at ALL times, and then the bedroom door would be CLOSED trapping in the heat at night and it would soar to almost 75 degrees sometimes and I would ROAST.  So, I am so happy to never see 70 in my winter house!

  • 1.  Most definitely!!  I'm cold all the time.

    2.  Yes

    3. & 4.  When we get up in the morning and are home at night, it's set at 72.  During the day and at night while we are sleeping, it's set at 68.

  • Holy crap, we are some cheapskates, apparently! :)
