J. Nicole Spa Review

I went to the J. Nicole Spa in Pickerington today for a pre-natal massage.  The spa was cute - set up in an old house and very nicely done.  The people were nice and the prices were affordable.

My particular massage was just ok.  It was supposed to be 60 min but it was only 45 b/c she started late but ended on time.  Also, even though I told her (on the paper form and in person) that I wanted to focus on my lower back and hips, she only spent 5 min on my lower back and 0 min on my hips.  So I was very disappointed in that.  It seemed like she thought that a pre-natal massage is just like a reg. massage but with exceptions due to baby bump.  My view is a pre-natal massage should be a massage for a pregnant woman that focuses on the areas where a pg woman is sore.

I would be willing to go back there and try again b/c I thought the spa itself was nice but I would ask to not have Renee.

HTH anyone looking for a spa treatment.  Other girls from Cbus have raved about the treatments there so I may have just had a bad technician.

Re: J. Nicole Spa Review

  • I meant to tell you before, but St Ann's has maternity massages that are FABULOUS! They are done by Labor and Delivery Nurses (in case you go into labor) and I think it's 45 or 65 for an hour, and there's no tipping allowed. I went for one (Sadly, DH boght it for me and I went into labor too soon to enjoy it so it was postpardum for me!) and she told me she has clients who come in way after giving birth. It was FABULOUS. If you're looking for another pregnancy massage, I'd recommend it.
  • I should add...they target the massage specifically for pregnancy, and what you tell them hurts most. For me she did a lot of forearm work b/c my arms hurt so bad from lifting the babies all the time.
