$523!!! That was one expensive visit to see my mom! Holy cow I about died when I saw the charges. That was two new tires, alignment and 'insurance' for a year on the tires. I really feel like I got screwed but I know nothing about cars or tires, so I had to go with the flow.  UGH

Holy crap!!  My Dad told me I needed two new tires, I asked how much they'd be and he said about $80.  I am not sure how much aligning is but is it THAT much?  Man, I'm sorry girl.  Us girls need to learn more about this stuff.  I'm spoiled and my dad works on my car for free.

That's about what I paid for 2 new tires.  Maybe I got screwed too!!!  :-)

Oh no!!! That is a little high!!! But getting your car fixed is always expensive! We go to Discount Tire and I refuse to pay more than $100 per tire including warranty (for a 17 in tire), and they work just fine and are great! And we go to Sear's for our alignments, they have a great price and great customer service, usually it's around $100-120 depending how bad your alignment is off. That was an expensive trip to see your mom!

What kind of car do you drive? Does it take "special" tires? Only reason I ask is because my FJ takes tires that are $275/tire. So, I can see how you'd spend the $523.

Liz - you bring up a good point. The larger the tires the more expensive, I think 21 in tires are around $150 each if not more. So, it depends on the tires your car has to have too.

Wow!! Thats a lot. We just got the front tires on our car replaced (after the flat) and it cost $220 with a road guarentee...

I drive a Honda Accord Sedan and the tires were $173 EACH (I got Michellen's to match the other two that didn't get replaced). My rim was not bent! LOL I also paid $50 for some kind of insurance on the tires and $75 for an alignment. UGH The tires aren't anything special (I don't think!). I hate not knowing about this kind of stuff. :-(

i'm actually into cars and usually have a hook up on such thigns

but when i'm waiting at a tire place for a car to get done or such i am AMAZED at how weasily the sales people are and how much they upsell you shit that just sounds good

i always want to take the person asside and be like YOUR GETTING FUCKED!

Oh what a bummer!  That sucks but at least you got there and you'll be able to get there many more times with your new tires!
