I am almost certain it is a Target.  Which burns me...they are closing the Brice store and rebuilding.

WHA??   Why on earth close the Brice store and build a new one? Seems like there's a lot of stuff going from Brice area over to 256. Its not like its that far away, y'know?

Hi Pickerington Girls,

I am new to the area and my DH asked me about that too.  I was sad to see the trees torn down since I always loved that about Pickerington.

A target would be great to have closer and I notice that the shopping center it is in now seems to be lossing everything.

It might be nice, but I'm worried about what happens several years down the road when everything starts moving out to 310....will Pickerington/Reynoldsburg right there have the same issue that Brice Rd is having?? And there's already a Target on East Broad. No reason to move the one on Brice.

I was told that the new one would open in March...doesn't seem to be moving along very quickly.

They will build a smaller store, it won't be a greatland.  It will have one entrance and exit unlike the Brice store.  They remodeled the Easton location to change the entrance.  I wish they would do that to the Brice location.

That area is already so busy...I agree with Liz.  All the stores moved from Hamilton to Brice.  Now from Brice to 256 and so on...gotta make you wonder.

I understand now what you mean.  Since I am not from this area I was not aware of the trend.

My dad works for the City...

It IS a Target.  They moved b/c the per capita income over here is higher in this direction than where they currently are. 

Olive Garden is also building somewhere off of RT 204 (not sure if it's in the city limits or in the township)  The city made them mad so he's not sure where they decided to go, but on the ballot this Tuesday they have a liquor license request.

Sonic is due to break ground soon, near Max & Erma's

The UDF at the corner of Refugee and 256 is being torn down, along with the "Oak Creations" stores that is in the old Big Bear Strip.  In its place is going a Walgreens.

I forget what else is going on.  I'll relay more gossip as I get it!  LOL!

Hey, you weren't at Target on Brice this morning about 11ish were you? I thought I recognized Ethan but didn't want to traumatize the poor mommy if it wasn't you. "Hi! I think I know your kid from the internet!" probably wouldnt' have gone over too well,  I'm thinking!

Hey, are any of you girls in the mallard pond/Bentwood Farms Subdivision?  If so I was looking to walk with someone.  I normally try to go out for an hour every evening and my DH is in Chicago untill Tuesday night.

If anyone is up for it let me know I would love to have some company.

We did have a house we were looking at over there but opted for this one....

oh that sucks for me!! canal needs to build a target then. i hope they don't take my hobby lobby and michaels too, i don't think i'll survive!!! (jk. kinda.)
