Skybus adds New York, and a hotel question

Skybus just added New York as a destination, flights start in January.

So, I booked tickets for May and now need to find a hotel. Can someone recommend a good area of New York City to stay that won't break the bank? tia

Re: Skybus adds New York, and a hotel question

  • I also just booked tickets to NY in march, so I am also looking for a hotel!  I have a group of 6 people going, so any reasonably priced hotels would be needed here too!

    Thanks!

  • Heads up ladies who want to get pregnant next year...

I'm going to NY in May!  haha

Fortunately we have a client who has a NY apartment in the city so I believe I will be staying there....free.  Can't beat that.
  • Ok, I just broke down and bought tickets to go for our anniversary in May:) Looks like Newburgh is about 1 1/2 away from NYC. I've never been, but heard having a car in NYC would be a nightmare. Wonder how much a cab would be to get from Newburgh to NYC??? As far as hotels go, I think I might try Priceline. I have had really good luck there in the past.
  • Oh--they are flying to Newburgh.  Home of the best outlet mall ever.  Great.  I do love skybus.  Not sure about a good hotel in NYC cheap--but I do know that if you  stay  in Newburgh-they offer shuttles to the city.  I guess a lot of people from NYC ride them to go shopping.    I tried to check out tickets--but Skybus' webpage is swamped.

  • Try priceline. Last time I went to NYC, I got the Radisson on Lexington & 48th for $150/night using priceline. Good luck!

  • We (AAA) have a vendor with really competitive prices for NYC.  www.aaa.com.  That should be a relatively nice time to go!
