We had the BEST trick-or-treaters!

There was a small group of kids that came by with the best costumes ever. One was dressed as Jim Tressel, two were Ohio State cheerleaders, one was Brutus, and one was a football player.

I made them do O-H-I-O for candy ;)

Re: We had the BEST trick-or-treaters!

  • How cute!  We only had about a dozen kids and I was pretty disappointed.  Wyatt was adorable in his pumpkin outfit to help me hand out candy though :)
  • My all time fave kid came again. He was dressed as a toilet! I think we had about 75-80 kids, but we live in the 'burbs near schools and there are 2-3 kids at almost every house!
  • Too cute!!!!  I had a football player and cheerleader come through and when I gave them candy they both said "Go Bucks". he he
  • How fun!  We had about 200 (quite a bit less than last year, actually) and we had one little pimp who flashed gang signs at DH.  We had one kid in a Michael Vick jersey and I told him we'd better lock up our dogs and he didn't think I was going to give him candy!  I did and as he was walking away, I saw he had a stuff dog on a rope he was dragging...  lol

My personal favorite, though, was the giraffe that was carrying a shotgun!  He was maybe 1 1/2 or so...but it was really funny :)

  • We usually have about 150-200 kids, but this year was a total bust! We only had about 70 kids. I think it was that there was an accident on the Morse Rd off ramp and one on Morse Rd at Cherrybottom, It took me at least 40 minutes to get to the Morse Rd exit from Downtown (usually takes 10), and it took another 30 minutes to get from the exit to my house (usually takes 10). So DH and I were both late getting home for T or T and both left really early, so I assume others were in the same traffic and that's why we didn't have as many kids :(
  • We had 0 kids!!!!
  • I was so disappointed.  This was our first Halloween in our new neighborhood and I knew that we wouldn't have many, but there are about 10 kids who live here, so I bought candy just in case.  We didn't have any kids show up for trick or treat.  I was sad.  :(
  • I felt bad - I didn't hand out candy.  Our T or T started at 5:30 and I didn't even get home until 6:30 from work - so I passed this year and we went to dinner :)  However, our neighborhood was packed with people!!!  We talked to our neighbor for a minute and he had gone through 7 bags of candy by 6:30.  I'm suprised that some didn't have a good turnout this year, the weather was much better than last - it was so rainy and cold!
  • We didn't have as many kids this year either.  Last year I went through 3 bags of candy, and this year was about 1 1/2.  Ethan was an adorable little cow though.

My favorite was the little boy (2 maybe?) that instead of me dropping candy into his bag, he bent down and reached into the bowl and said, "I want one of these, and one of these..."  It was pretty cute.

The best costume goes to the teenage boy (I know, I know) that had on an inflatable fat woman costume, complete with bra and tutu.  He shoved the candy down his top and it filled the leg of the costume.  He had on a red wig.  It was great!
  • We only had like 10 kids.. they were cute.. but i was sad with the lack of turn out as well :(
