I just wanted to say thank you for your prayers and support. It means so much. My mom is still in ICU but might get released to a step down unit tonight or tomorrow. She seems okay and they have had her up and walking. She has an epidural in her back right now to administer pain medication when needed. She's expected to be in the hospital for 5 days and will be going home to a nurse who will come and take care of her. She doesn't want any of us kids to help her. :-(
The doctor took the lower left part of the lung out, which was the size of a baseball. We should have test results in 5 days to know exactly what kind of lung cancer we are dealing with. At that time, they can then come up with a plan of attack. We do know they can't do radiation because she has a stint in her heart. So I guess we are back to waiting again.
