I am sick, but DH & I went for about a 10-15 minute walk and he was miserable. He felt like he didn't get a workout and I mean I felt a bit of a burn but I was afraid to push my limits because of being sick.
Does it matter the intensity, or is it only important that I actually tried.
Well, that's what I tried telling him anyway...
Re: Exercising & Sick
Depending on what kind of sick you are talking, sometimes you're just better off not working out that day. If its repsiratory I do know some people who feel better after they do some cardio to get the mucous build-ups loose, etc but many times you can actually make yourself worse if your immune system is already in a weakened state. Each person responds differently though.
I hope you feel better soon!!
I would definitely give yourself time to recover. You don't want to overdo it and end up feeling worse. You may even notice a decrease in your abilities, since your body is more focused getting the cold/virus out of your system instead of building muscle.
Just take it easy, I'm sure you'll feel better soon.
