We had them in to "test" our water last night, which turned into a whole salespitch for whole house water softening systems..... my dh and i are interested and know he's just a good salesman. we've thought about this on and off and Fenton doens't have the best water, we know. So, have you heard of them good or bad??? Or, is it a scam?
they're rated A on BBB and i can't find any other information on them.... what do you think? these are not cheap systems by and means, but we can move it to a new house (since we're planning to move in a year or so).
What would you do? I hate making these decisions when you don't really know anything on the company.... This was the owner at our house last night (which i've been able to verify) and the warranties are backed by 2 other national companies, so we would be "safe" if they should ever go out of business.....
Advice?
Re: Have you heard of Trionics Superior Water??? Advice Please.
I have not heard of the particular company but it sounds like you have done your homework. Did you ask for customer references?
Also would you be purchasing the softening unit or renting? If you don't mind sharing what were they charging? I would say that if you are planning on selling your house is a year or so I wouldn't bother putting the money into it.
I haven't heard of the company, but wanted to say that we purchased a softener unit for the house a couple of years ago from Sears and have been pleased with it. I think it was around $300. We also have very hard water out here and it's made a great difference!
All I know is that they tried to come out to our house about a year ago and I refused because I am easily coerced. I would want it too if I heard the gimmick so I didn't even want them in my house. haha.
I would also agree if you are moving soon just wait until then and get it in your new house because even if you can take it with you I am sure it will be a huge PITA.
i think i've talked dh out of this for a while. ?i do think i'd really like having it, but i'm a researcher, so i need to look at other systems, etc before making a decision. ?i'm not making a decision at 10pm after they've been in my house for over 2 hours for a "simple water test". ugh. ?
I told DH that if they want us as a customer, they'll offer the "special price" anytime we're ready to buy. :-) I'm not a sucker all the time :-)?
