Help! Easiest way from CT to NYC

I just moved to CT in Farmington. I'm going to NYC tomorrow and I only know how to get there from the NJ side. I've never been from this side.

We are going to be staying overnight so what is the best Metro north station to use that is safe and has overnight parking?

Thanks in advance.

  • I usually take the train out of New Haven and park in the garage there.  You can leave your car over night there.  Have a great trip!

  • I normally take the train into GCS from Brewster, NY - leave my car overnight in the commuter lot if needed
  • I am way late, but wanted to just comment for next time you go in.  I live in Farmington, we take 84 to Rt. 8 to 95 and park in South Norwalk.  There is a garage and you can totally park overnight.  We found this to be quicker and the train ticket is less money.
