Anyone get a visit from "Steakhouse Steaks" guy in Hudson area?

Hey Ladies,

Okay, so on Monday, I get home from work and start getting ready for dinner before DH gets home.  All of a sudden, I hear the doorbell ring - I answer it and it's a guy, dressed in regular street clothes, and he says "Hi I'm Mike from Steakhouse Steaks, do you like steak?"  I was like, "umm, my husband does?"  And then he goes "well come on over to my truck and I'll show you some, maybe you can surprise him with some"  I looked out at his truck parked out in the street, i didn't see any logos or anything on it, so I got a little freaked out and said no thanks and slammed my door shut.  Does anyone know if this is a legit company?   I googled it but didn't come up with anything.  It's creeping me out big time!!!

That is weird!!! I think you did the right thing... Maybe call the town to see if it's a legit business GL!

I am not in the hudson area, but they come by my office in Ashland like once a month.  I dont know the guys name, but he always invites us out to the truck to see what he has - it is usually  a white or blue pickup with coolers or something like that that are built into the bed of the truck - the built in part is like square box things with metal handles.  I have never got anything from them, but they have stopped by here like once a month since September, and I am pretty sure the name is steakhouse steaks.  Their truck has never been labeled, and none of us ever go out to order anything.

No visits here but I would call town hall to question it.  That is way to sketchy in this day and age.

Well I feel better knowing that you had this happen to you at work Deb!  It's just soooo shady, who goes door to door nowadays???  Yeah, I think I might call the town hall to check on this, you'd think they'd need a permit to go around the neighborhood right? Thanks ladies!
