we made it to the end of another week! What are you ladies up to this weekend?
Re: Weekend Plans?
Tonight, we're going to lay low and go to bed early because we have a big weekend coming up! We were always committed to doing these two things...but they were supposed to happen on separate weekends...well, one of them was rescheduled and now we're in for a busy one!
Tomorrow we are waking up very early to drive an hour to my grandma's house for her big indoor yardsale. She is moving out of the house she's lived in for decades, and after weeks of helping her sort through all of her stuff, it's time to sell some of it! So we'll be there for most of the day.
Tomorrow afternoon, we head back to Boston to meet my stepdad and brother (this is my mom's side of the fam - grandma is on dad's side) for dinner after they see a matinee of Blue Man Group (hopefully there will be time for a nap before we meet them!). And then, my teenage brother is coming back home with us because he has requested to have a "sleepover" at our place. I have no idea how we are going to entertain him, but hopefully we will figure something out.
Then on Sunday, we will probably meet my stepdad halfway to hand off my brother back to him. Later, we're going to try to go to the grocery store and cook/freeze some food for the coming week.
And somewhere in there I have to do some laundry.

tonight we've got some errands to run and we're going back to where c thinks she lost her cell phone on wednesday night just to check again and see if it's turned up. we'll be doing a few things working on the bathroom when we get home and possibly doing some cleaning.
tomorrow we'll definitely be cleaning, and then we're having a little birthday/graduation party in the evening. i'm not sure how many people are actually coming (we've got friends moving that day, too), but it should be fun regardless.
sunday we have tickets to the hockey game! other than that we have nothing planned that i know of, which is nice.
Well this afternoon, I'm headed out with Julie's little sister for some 'Twilight' exploring. Most of the movie was filmed in a town about 20mins away. So we'll go see 'Bella's House', and what not. Should be fun.
Tonight we are hanging prettly low. Julie has A LOT of homework to play catch up on, and I'm sick with a cold, so I'll probably hit the hay.
Tomorrow we will wake up way too early, and head to the Rose Quarter where we will stand in line with Julie's younger sister for Jonas Brother tickets. I think we have a better shot of getting tickets by logging in online at home right at ten, then standing in line, but we will stand in line with her, while her mom also attempts to log in online, at home for tickets. Is this as ridiculous as it sounds? Cross your fingers we get tickets, I think the girl will cry for days, she already missed Hannah Montana. for pete's sake!
Saturday night, Julie and I are actually going to go out. For the first time in a loooong time. We are going to dancing. I'm really excited!
Sunday will be spent recovering!
Best bet for hard to get tickets, is to do it online. Create an account with ticketmaster, so you can save your billing info, and then log in a couple minutes before the sale. When the clock strikes - refresh the page and search for tickets. To multiply your chances, you can use more than one computer, and on each computer, you can open ticketmaster in Explorer and also Firefox (two of the same browser will cancel each other out).
For a kid, it's not as exciting as waiting outside in line - but it really is the best way to get tickets. For a big act like the Jonas kids, there might be a long line at the ticket place, and it would be pretty devastating to wait in line only to be turned away. If you really want to go nuts, you could do internet and phone - calling ticketmaster as you try to get the tickets online. Good luck!

Mrs. F, thanks for the suggestions. We are going to stand in line, on our phones in an attempt for tickets, and her parents are going to be home on the internet, and on the phone too. The first person to get them, calls the other. Cross your fingers.
These silly tickets are stressing me out waaaaay to much!.
Tonight L and I have a sitter coming over and we are going to one of our multiples clubs consignment sales. We have a ton of stuff that we are selling and we need to buy Carter play shirts and shorts for the summer. We'll go to dinner before/after the sale.
Tomorrow L is volunteering at the sale in the morning and then going to work on her school work. I'll clean in the AM and take the kids to their Gymboree class. If L isn't done by the end of nap, I might take the kids on a few errands (it is supposed to rain all day tomorrow. Boo.) We'll go out to dinner tomorrow night.
Sunday L will go do school work from 7-4. The kids and I will go to breakfast, go to the grocery store, and go to the mall to get them fresh white shirts for a family picture being taken at the ILs next week. The kids are getting their hair cut after nap. Then we'll get ready to start out week!
Tonight we're heading to the casino to meet up with Sam - yay!
Tomorrow we have our first foster class - double yay! I recently found out that someone from my local board (we also work at the same company, although different departments) will be attending the class with us - its so nice to know someone going into it
Saturday evening we'll be meeting up with my parents for dinner to celebrate my Dad's bday (its actually april fools day
).
And Sunday will be spent with bubby - we're taking her grocery shopping at the jewish market by our house and helping her prepare for passover.
I'm hoping that some where in there I will be able to convince A to do some baby shopping

S and I may get to watch our mentors fosterchild overnight. She is only a few weeks old and on meds for withdrawl. Poor baby. We are looking forward to seeing what it is like to have a baby with serious needs here. We are also having dinner with my mom.
Today: I just got home from doing magnet/electricity experiments with 23 3rd graders- it went amazingly well! I'm trying to decompress a little bit, but I need to clean the house and put together a brunch menu for Sunday.
Tomorrow: I work 9-7, pretty much no time for anything else.
Sunday: Brunch with old friend who we haven't seen for years! Should be fun! Look for a poll about the menu coming soon...
