Today's Question: 3/27

Today let's incriminate ourselves.  What's the most recent thing you've done that could have gotten you into trouble?

Re: Today's Question: 3/27

  • For DH and I, we drove to 5 Forks from downtown Greenville with a bed on our heads.... I bought a bed on craigslist with no plan on how to get it home.  We decided to try to cram it in Zach's Rav 4.  The bed frame (disassembled) and the mattress JUST fit in his car, and by JUST fit, I mean that it went from the front windshield to the rear windshield.

Zach and I sat, crunched up, no seatbelts, and drove home literally with a metal bed frame and a mattress where our heads should have been in the car.  (We took the headrests off our seats and the mattress rested on the seats to give you an idea of how cramped it was.)

We were extremely careful, stayed in the right lane, etc... but we're lucky we weren't in an accident or didn't get pulled over.

  • i realized once i was pulling into the parking garage for work today, that not only did i forget my parking pass, but i forgot my wallet too.  so much for switching all the essentials from one purse to another.  looks like i'll be driving home extra slow today since i don't have a license and my errands of purchasing things will have to wait since i have no money.  nice one jackie...

the sad thing is i could probably give you one of these for every single day.

  • I got pulled over for speeding in February, but got lucky and only got a warning.  I was coming home from work and the road was curvy and I picked up speed as I went downhill (even though I had the cruise on).  Right when I got around the curve I saw the state trooper, looked at my speed, and thought, "Oh, crap!"  He got me for going 62 in a 50.  I told him that I was sorry and that I had a bad day and didn't realize I was speeding.  I gave him a pathetic look and he took pity on me and just wrote a warning.  I'm lucky with getting pulled over- a few years ago I got out of it as well :)

Indifferent  glad you made it home safely. Dh would never be so accomodating of my purchases like that! I once bought a new door unexpectedly that I thought would not fit into my corrolla---called dh from the Lowes parking lot and he said 'you did what??' I was able to fit this door in my corrolla after all. Dh was very sorry he yealled at me when I made it home, but did not want to go pick it up.

    I've been pretty good lately---boring I know!

Well, I think DH has finally learned that I'm pretty hard-headed and it's generally best to go along with me haha. If it hadn't fit, I would have called a moving company or uhaul to get it home, which would have cost more, so DH was all about trying to get it home on our own haha.

That's generally how I get things done, is I just start without him... like working in the lawn, trimming shrubs, going to the store, etc.  Or I just mention in passing that on Wed I'm calling the landscaper to come do this or that since we haven't gotten it done yet, and it automatically gets done :)
