Round 7 of Operation Baking Gals is fast approaching and I've totally run out of interesting cookie ideas. So, what are some of your faves?
Re: Cookie Recipes?
1. Whats Operation Baking Gals?
2. MIL's Honey Cookies- so freakin excellent. They're chewy and puffy and fantastic with frosting. They don't really take like honey. FYI- they're great for little fingers to frost b/c they don't break apart easily. You can really load up on frosting, too. I like frosting a lot, in case that wasn't evident.
3. Chocolate Crinkles (probably my #1 favorite cookie ever)
4. I can't think of a good example of this, but sometimes I love a little nutty crunch in my cookie...
There's actually a red velvet oatmeal cookies, that are stuffed with cream cheese frosting. I don't remember where it came from, but it's sooo good. I think it will come up if you google it. I'll try to search for it.
1) no need to be elaborate at all - just yummy and ship well
2) Operation Baking Gals is an online "club" that ships cookies to soldiers stationed overseas once a month (new soldiers each month) - usually the solidier has no idea they are coming so its a super fun surprise thats always well recieved.
3) thanks for the suggestions, keep 'em coming!

One is a carrot cake "cookie", it's more like a whoopie pie with a cream cheese filling, TO DIE FOR, I think it's a martha stewart recipe.
The other is a type of bark, or poor man's toffee, so easy, with butter, brown sugar, saltines and chocolate chips.
Here are a couple of my favorites:
Anzac Biscuits.Originally created to send to Australian soldiers in WWII.
