Fire On the Mountain

Has anyone been?  I am trying to convince my DH we need to go out to dinner.  I am in the mood for some wings.

What did you think about it?

Re: Fire On the Mountain

  • Mmmm I love Fire on the Mountain. DH and I used to frequent the one in North Portland. The last time we were in town we went to the newer one in SE on Burnside and it wasn't as great. They always have a huge variety of flavors to try and the have fries and tots too YUM! Have fun!

  • I've never been as I'm not a big meat eater, particularly when it's on a bone, but everyone I know who likes wings says this is the place to go.  They rave about it.  I'm sure Yelp has a bajillion great reviews as well.
  • I LOVE Fire on the Mountain. We just went there with friends on Saturday. The spicy peanut is my favorite!! We like the E. Burnside location the best, but both are yummy. Get the fries too!!
  • Awesome!!! Go, go, go!!!

BTW, the raspberry habenero sauce is the best, IMO. Everyone always makes fun of me when I order it because it sounds foo-foo... and then they eat all my wings. Don't fall for the jamacian jerk. I don't know why, but we always order it and then don't like it. And their "classic" buffalo sauces are really good - I find the mild is hot enough for me. I usually do have mild and half rasp hab.

  • I LOVE this place and I am also a veg head. Their Portland wings (vegetarian) are great. They are similar to the Morning Star Buffalo wings (but crispier) and in your choice of sauce. My husband does eat meat and he loves their burgers and their boneless wings. It is a great place to go for a cheap lunch or quick dinner.
  • I am from Buffalo, NY and they are the best wings I have found in Portland!!
