OMG!

So yesterday I tried to put on my jeans- the same jeans I wore just a few days ago, and much to my surprise, it wouldn't fit! I tried to put on another pair of jeans, thinking it would fit, but it was actually tighter than the first! I guess it is time for maternity clothes!  Aside from Motherhood Maternity, where do you ladies shop (or have shopped) for maternity clothes?  I have never looked at maternity clothes before.  I am very excited! My MIL wants to take me out shopping.  Isn't she the best?!

Re: OMG!

  • They have some cute basic stuff at Target! Khols and JcPenny's carries them as well.

    Enjoy this exciting time! :-)

My thoughts exactly. Target clearance always has great finds. A lot of the "maternity" clothes from Target that I have are not maternity at all, they are just larger size regular clothes and only cost me about $4-6 a piece.

Koh's has cute maternity things too, but their selection varies from store to store. Some have a lot, other have almost nothing.

JC Penney's has these tank tops (not maternity) by Worthington that I absolutely love. I had 2 before I got pg and had to buy myself a bunch more now because they are so comfortable and fit over my belly.

  • I looooveeee Kohl's, but I guess I should visit another store, b/c the one I usually go to has absolutely nothing! And I looove Target, as well, so I guess I'll be going there this weekend.  Thanks! So excited!
  • I got 90% of my maternity clothes at Target and Old Navy on clearance. Have fun shopping!
  • Just lookign aroudn i would say old navy...and if your looking for a deal Ross is a good place to look if you don't want to spend a lot either.  Just ask there where the maternity section is, its kind of hidden :-)  Good luck :-)I just out grew most of my clothes too :-)  so sad

  • I LOVED Old Navy. Esp their jeans. 90% of my stuff came from ON. I was extremely disappointed in Kohls. They had a horrible selection and the section was a disaster. I could never find anything at Target and I found their prices somewhat high. GL!

  • Thanks, ladies! I am definitely down for cheap, so I will check out all the stores you recommended.
  • most of mine are from Old Navy and the Gap. I ordered online because they have short lengths. They used to have a great return policy that was free shipping, but recently changed that boo! The Kohl's near me has a tiny selection but people have loved them. Target has been great for me but not for jeans or pants, because I am so short and too lazy (cheap) to get them altered. I also used a belly band for a while with my regular jeans. Target has a version of it as does Motherhood.
  • I love Old Navy and Destination Maternity (outside of Victoria Gardens).

DItto Sher on the belly band. I am using that for now : )

  • babystyle.com - try their online outlet (clearance) stuff. ?Got a TON of stuff for cheap. ?Their non-sale jeans (babystyle brand) are the absolute best! ?I think I bought 3 pair. ?Low-waisted too!

japaneseweekend.com - love the skirts that you can wear as a top!

    ?

Gap maternity was great for nicer things - I didn't buy enough of it. ?Liked the Old Navy stuff, but I really couldn't wear it to work.

    ?

Also check out J. Crew or the J. Crew outlet for drawstring PJ pants. ?I LIVED in these things throughout pregnancy and mat leave.

    ?

I wasn't a huge fan of the Motherhood stuff - felt that the babystyle clothing was of a better quality. ?(But I didn't try the pea in the pod brand.) ?Everything I bought was low-waisted ... I wasn't a fan of the "panel" over the belly.?

    ?

    Happy shopping!

    Jen :)?

  • I can't find anything at Target Sad

I used the Bella Band for a while, then got myself a few pairs of mat pants. I still wear the same shirts, because I naturally like the longer ones, and they still cover my bump!!

Destination Maternity @ VG has some NICE stuff!!! They have some good deals... and those $250 mat jeans that everyone NEEDS! Wink

Warning No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml
  • Thanks, ladies! My spring break is coming up, so I guess I will be doing lots of shopping!

Oh, and $250 for jeans!!! Maybe if I win the lotto...
