Impression of The Diamond Tower?

I looking at buying a condo and I was impressed by the Diamond Tower on Prospect and close to Brady.  Is this a good area to live in for a 22yr old young professional?  Is it safe?  Is there are better area that would be more suitable for a young professional to live?

Re: Impression of The Diamond Tower?

  • DH and I live in the neighborhood and really love it.  Walking distance to bars, restaurants, gym, Starbucks, shops and of course I love living near the lake.  We have lived here five months and not once had any issue with safety.  The one observation I have is that I do encounter a bum/homeless person a couple of times a week asking for change, but you get that in any city.  DH and I are in our late 20's and find that this is a great area to live in for the late hours we work (lots of food delivery late and the like) and the things we like to do in our free time (dinners with friends, the gym, etc.)

We also liked the third ward area when we were first looking, but I found the asking prices there too high for what we would be getting (square footage-wise.)
