Baby Shower - Norfolk/Ports/Ches?? Help!

hello ladies.  I'm from Chesapeake but currently live in Tampa.  At the end of the summer, I'll be hosting a baby shower for my cousin back in VA.  Any suggestions on great places to host it?  I'd prefer to be able to bring a lot of our own food, but would love to hear your ideas.  Thanks so much!

  • I'm not familiar with the Southside at all, but I'm going to assume that there are few places that will let you bring in your own food.  I would look at either someone's house, renting a pavailion or meeting room at one of the local parks or seeing if someone has church connections and using one of their meeting rooms or parish halls, etc.

  • Towne Bank on Mt. Pleasant Rd. has a nice community room with small kitchen to rent out.  Also check with parks and recreation to see if they have any rooms to rent out.  Oh and there's a VERY nice clubhouse in The Preserve neighborhood off Great Bridge Blvd. that you might be able to rent out.
  • You might consider having it at a local park - sounds like the perfect time to do so.  Oak Grove Lake Park or Northwest River Park in Chesapeake are both very nice!
