Help: Moving to Chesapeake or VA Beach area
Hi Girls! I'll be moving to the Chesapeake or VA Beach area in June for a job. I've been apartment searching online but feel a little lost. Does anyone have any recommendations as far as places to live go? In addition, if you have suggestions as to places to stay away from are also helpful! TIA
Re: Help: Moving to Chesapeake or VA Beach area
What's your price range? My friend has a great apt. (feels like a condo and has a garage option) in Kempsville area of VB, right on the Chesapeake border. It is a convenient area. However, her 2 bedroom rent was going up to $1300 so she is buying a house in my neighborhood instead .
When hubby was here temporarily before I moved down, he had a 2 bedroom in The Palms on VB Blvd. near Rosemont Ave. I felt safe, the apt. was clean, but it was not someplace I'd want to be for more than a few months or a year based on the other people who lived in the area. However, the location was VERY convenient, and the rent was super cheap... $700 something a month and that was for a 6 mth. lease which is more than a yr. lease.
