A Fun Trip Back In Time and a POLL
I came across this blog post today. Too much fun! Growing up, I think I had all of these toys at one point or another. Do kids even play with many of these anymore? (I know play-dough is still pretty popular.)
POLL: What's one toy from your childhood that you were crazy about?
I was just thinking back to my days of having Skip-It. I know I wore at least to their breaking point.
Re: A Fun Trip Back In Time and a POLL
I loved my skip it! I was more of a Tom Boy so I would have to say my pogs! It's hammer time...lol! I had a whole collection of them the best slammers and all of the character pogs available.
Funny story to share: DH and Jocelyn were on the computer watching kid videos, etc. and he shouts "Mommy, listen to this!" Then he plays the commercial to SLINKY that he found on youtube! I laughed so hard and then sang along. My girls thought it was funny too! Cute memories...fun times!
Can't think of just one toy to answer the poll. I loved play-dough, my microscope kit and typewriter. I know, I'm a nerd!
The Holy Grail of all my toys was Loving You Barbie. She was the one in a valentine-themed ballgown: red, sweetheart bodice with white organza skirt and sleeves with little red hearts on it. She came with "ruby" earrings and ring... oh! and remember when the early 80s Barbies came with that itty bitty stamper? hers said "i love you" instead of "Barbie".
I loved that doll. She usurped Western Barbie (in the one piece, fringed, white and silver lame jumpsuit) as the mate for Western Ken (our only Ken)
