Have any of you bought furniture from Art Van? I've read a lot of bad reviews online, but it seems like usually it's the people who have problems who write about it and all the satisfied customers never say anything.
Opinions anyone?
We bought a bed frame and bench last weekend and are looking at getting some other pieces during their 6hour sale tonight.
TIA
Re: Art Van reviews?
I bought my mattress from them about 2 years ago when they had a 50% off sale on mattresses. They came and delivered the bed the day they said they would, trucked it up to my 3rd floor apartment, and put it in my room - all while I was at class. And then my sister took the first nap on it.
But that's all I've gotten through them. So no problems.
We bought our mattress from them, too. The H has some recliners he purchased through them many moons ago. No complaints. My only thought is that you get what you pay for, so if you go in to a big box store like Art Van and buy their cheapest line, don't expect much out of it.
If you are financing through them, haggle. I told the guy I was buying a bed if I could get a good deal on financing and he gave me 18 months same as cash. If you go that route, PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR PAY OFF DATE. If you don't get it paid off, they charge you back interest for the entire amount.
I"ve bought stuff from them-haven't had issues.
I hear they are having a sale this weekend.....
They are always having a sale.....almost every wednesday at least. I got a mattress from them (serta) and it was great.
If you finance through them, be aware. Like other posters have stated, you must pay off by a certain date or they will charge you interest on the total cost, not just the remainging balance.
The nice part about their bills is that it tells you your payoff date and the "back interest" you'll be charged on every bill.
And haha... Art Van is having a sale? No way. teehehehehe! They have constant sales. "Woooooo! It's our annual April 2nd Sale!"
