Any other nurses?

Hi Everyone-

Is anyone a nurse?  What area do work in? I work in the ICU department,I've been a nurse for about 3.5yrs.

Re: Any other nurses?

  • I'm licensed, but am a new grad and still looking for that first job.
  • I've been a NICU nurse for 3 years and love it!
  • where?!  NICU is what I am interviewing for.  LOVE it.
  • Kel-n-russ: Where do you work? I am a NICU nurse (3yrs too!) and we are getting ready to move to Chicago sometime in the next year. We are currently heading to London for a travel assignment but Chicago is where we plan to return!

I was just wondering if you had any info on hospitals I could look into. I currently work in a large Level III NICU (ECMO, NO, Full-body cooling, VLBW, HFOV....) in a teaching hospital & I am looking for something similar in Chicago. I tend to like units that are?attached?to high-risk L&Ds and deal with more VLBW infants than surgical cases.?

    Any tips?!

PS- How is the market currently for a nurse w/ experience. I know new grads are struggling to find jobs but wondered how bad it was for experienced!?
