Best sushi on/near the strip?
We're going to Vegas with DH's family in July. Last time we were in Vegas, we weren't really into sushi, but now DH and I love it. I remember DH's sister going to Nobu last time, but looking at it...it doesn't look very fancy and it's SUPER expensive ($40-80/person).
We really want something fun/sexy/trendy for the two of us (it'll be on or around our 4th anniversary).
Any recommendations? (We don't mind an expensive place as long as it's worth it in ambiance and food.) Thanks!
Re: Best sushi on/near the strip?
Nobu is definitely worth the ambiance and food. Also, check out Little Budha in Palms. DH and I just went to Social House (Treasure Island), which was the place to be for famous people a few months ago. It was really good. There's also Japanois in Mirage. Also very good. Those are the places I would recommend for ambiance. They are all fun/sexy/trendy. If you just want some damn good sushi with a regular atmosphere, check out sushi mon and get the all you can eat, made to order sushi. It's on Maryland Parkway and Silverado Ranch and it might technically be in Henderson, not Las Vegas. It's about a 15 minute drive from the strip, so if you don't have a car, go elsewhere.
Finally, for the fun places with the cheaper sushi, go to happy hour at either Ra Sushi (on strip outside of Fashion Show Mall) or Sushi Roku in the Ceasar's Palace Forum Shops. Both are real cool and trendy, but they have great deals during happy hour so it won't cost an arm and a leg.
