I have a question for you about the casino thing... how do they go about doing the hiring, if you know?  My husband was thinking about getting into that... but we live in TX right now.  I guess just wondering if you have to be out there in order for them even to consider.  I don't know if you have any clue or not, but thought since you mentioned you were in the industry you might have an idea.

Re: issi

  • hi there.  no, you don't have to be out here to be considered, but it does help, since they probably would want to interview you (or your husband).

with my position, i applied for a position, and the hiring manager called me wanting to set up an interview. i couldn't make it, but told her that i'd call her when i had a trip planned out to vegas. i called her when i had a date (maybe a month after she initially called me), and asked her if she was still hiring. she was. so i was here on vacation and interviewed with her then and hired on the spot... i was lucky that this department needed lots of help.

what kind of job is your dh looking for (i'm in accounting)?
