Did you get your ring back?  I hadn't heard any updates... or I missed them - one of the two.

I still don't have it back.  =( I was supposed to get it last Monday, but now they are saying February 11, 2008.  I'm going to swing by today and see if perhaps it's ready early. I'm getting antsy.  I did get to see the diamond the other day and it is GORGEOUS!  It's even nicer than my original one!

That sucks - seems like that is taking a long time.  What is the reasoning for it taking so long?  Did they have to send it off or something?  Seems strange.  So a better diamond is exciting... what did you end up going with?  Weren't you considering changing the shape?

It's taking forever, but I think it's just poor timing.  With Valentine's Day, they are just slammed.  I'm kinda ticked that the guy said it would be done in 5 days (which would have meant last week!).  I wouldn't have had my hopes up if he just never said anything!

I ended up going with the same shape (prinecss).  DH made a good point--all of my friends who are engaged have circle.  Even though I really like the circle/round/whatever it's called, mine is kinda unique.  DH likes the princess cut better too, so I figure I'll stick to it.  I love the ring, especially with the new diamond, so I'm thrilled either way!

Thanks for asking.  I've been so upset about this.  I just want to wear a ring already!  Of course, it looks like I will be getting it back right in time for a ski trip I have planned with several friends (and former knotties!) to Tahoe, so I'm not even sure I will get to wear it much before taking it right back off again.  I had a friend lose her ring skiing, so I try not to wear it when I ski!  Paranoid, much?!
