Speaking of DHs...

Mine is pissing me off, too.

A friend of ours and DH wanted to get on XBox Live this morning and play games, cool. His phone rings and the dogs hear it, so all seven of them start crying to go out. Rather than quickly letting all dogs out to go to the bathroom, HE goes to the bathroom first. DH takes forever to go in the morning for whatever reason. So I kid you not, for over five minutes he is in there washing his face, blowing his nose, etc., and these dogs are crying and crying. By this point, I'm obviously up. He does this when it is just the two dogs, too.

Have some damn courtesy and let the dogs out first so your wife can sleep! Is he going to do this when we have a baby? If so, he can look forward to castration. And then to top it all off, when he was done in the bathroom he came in and got dressed for the day. Not just a quick throw on a sweatshirt because it's cold, no. He took another ten minutes to pick out his clothes and get dressed.

Re: Speaking of DHs...

  • OMG, I am so sorry!!!  I did have a chuckle though cause my DH does the same thing.  Why is it that men do not understand certain things ... like when baby is crying we attend to baby and not go get dressed maybe???  Good luck when there is a baby - my ex did not get up once in the middle of the night with either son and yes, I worked full-time too.

I say we gather up all our DH's and put them in a room together for a bit.

  • Yes, he'll do it when you have kids too, lol.

Robert will leave the bathroom light on when he's getting ready in the morning, and you know how our bedroom is.  He'll leave it on when he goes out to check email and eat breakfast.  I wouldn't mind since I wear a mask to stay asleep, but I've noticed that baby seems to start waking up with the light on, regardless of when we were last up for a feeding.
