Planning on going to vegas in July. Need hotel recommendations

I'm going with a friend and her boyfriend.  Looking for a nice but not expensive hotel to stay for 3 nights. TIA

What do you consider "not expensive"?

Imperial Palace and the New Orleans are often mentioned. I have had family memebers also get great deals at The Flamingo and Barbary Coast.

Make sure to come between Sunday and Thursday for the best deals.  I would check out the Imperial Palace, Sahara or Tropicana for the best rates on the Strip.  Keep in mmind that it is very hot here in July as well.

$200 a night could be extremely easy if you are coming during the week but extremely hard if coming on the weekend.  Check out www.hotwire.com or www.priceline.com if you aren't particularly concerned with getting a specific hotel (you purchase without knowing which hotel it is and find out the specific hotel only after the purchase is complete).  Otherwise, check out Monte Carlo (if it's up and running), Bally's, Paris or Treasure Island.  They are usually within that price range.
