A weekend getaway

Hey Vegas nesties---
DH & I decided to take a very last minute trip to Sedona this weekend (We booked the room at 10 am on Friday).  We stayed at Las Posadas.  Check out their website. http://www.lasposadasofsedona.com/
I would reccomend it to anyone!  It was a bit of a long trip to drive (almost 5 hours).  We are definetly planning on going back sometime this year.  We didn't get to check out as much in Sedona as we wanted to.  I hope everyone else had a great weekend too!

Re: A weekend getaway

  • Woot! I love Sedona.

    What happened to Disney?
  • It was a combination of 2 things...our friend got sick and the weather wasn't going to be so good.  Although driving home from Sedona sucked today b/c all it did was rain!

That's so funny you mention Sedona.  We received one of those magazines in the mail that everyone in the zip code receives without subscribing (you know what I'm talking about--the name matches the zipcode where you are located?) and there was a whole section on Sedona.  I told DH it sounded like the perfect getaway for a three day weekend and suggested we go over 4th of July weekend. We are debating between Austin, TX and Sedona as we speak!  That sounds awesome, you may have just swayed us! =)

  • We went to Sedona in August for a wedding and fell in love with it.  Unfortunately we did not get to explore as much as we wanted and are planning on possibly going back in July this year.

I am definitely going to check out the website - we stayed at the Amara resort when we went for the wedding.

  • Yes, 3 days would be good to go.  We already agreed that when we return it would be a good idea to have the extra day off.  One thing to consider is that you have to drive over the Hoover dam and traffic can back up. ugh
