Doing anything special? For us, we're trying to do something low key since the wedding was only a couple of weeks ago but we're still undecided. The only stipulations are that whatever we do it's inexpensive and not a restaurant dinner. So I'm curious to see what your plans are if any!
Re: V-Day plans
As most know... My H is stationed in Germany. We agreed to only do cards, since he doesn't consider V day a major holiday and my bday is 4 days later!
But, I don't follow directions and sent him 'V day in a box'. I filled it with his favorite candy and snacks, poker game and a bear I dressed up like me.
Last year we went out for V day lunch. I spent years in the restaurant industry and despise V day dinners. We spent the evening at home with my daughter watchiing movies and eating candy & cake.
Oh yeah, I remember that your H was a military man. I didn't realize he was stationed in Germany though. I'm trying to plan a vacation for my mom there since she was a military brat and spent quite a few years there. She keeps talking about how she wants to go back.
Anyways, I think suprising your H with a gift box is a great idea. He will definetly appreciate it!
DH and I never really celebrated V-day either; we thought we would use it as an excuse to keep the honeymoon going. I think I might bake him an apple pie, which I know sounds trite but I hate to cook and that's his favorite dessert. Just hope I don't blow up the kitchen in the process; pray for me...
I love to cook and DH always comments on missing my cooking.
