CT nestie needs help with Dells

I am a CT nestie and hoping the WI nesties can help me out.

My sil just moved to WI  (4 months ago) and she would llike to go to the Dells in June. We may travel out with our 20 month old and go too.   She has 3 children - 5, 3 and 3 months old.   Is late June a good time to go? Should she find an indoor or ourdoor place?

Can you recommend a place? There are so many to chose from. She likes to stay in nicer hotels, so does a upscale hotel exist in the area?

I tried helping her by googling and not being from the area, it is hard to really tell what it is like.

  • We love the Kalahari resort.  They have nice rooms and services and the waterpark is great!!!  Even your 20 month will have a blast.
  • The Wilderness is also very nice. A group of us went there about 2 years ago and rented a condo/house on the resort. It was huge and it was so nice b/c we had our own kitchen, 2 or 3 full bathrooms and about 5 bedrooms and the rate was really reasonable.

The waterpark at the resort was also very nice too!

  • Most of the nicer waterpark resorts will have both indoor and outdoor options.

We are going in July and staying at the Wilderness. We rented a condo with DH's family for 5 days. We've heard good things about the Wilderness. I've also stayed at the Great Wolf and loved it, and I've heard good things about Kalahari and Chula Vista.

  • I agree with pp's. Wilderness or Kalahari. I've stayed at both and both are nice.

  • I have stayed at the Raintree Resort (which has an indoor & outdoor waterpark).  I think their rates are fairly reasonable too.

June is a good time to go - and make sure to check out the other waterparks in the area such as Noah's Ark.

BTW - You MUST eat at the MooseJaw they have amazing calzones!!!!!!!  :)
  • I've stayed a lot of places and Kalahari is my favorite. I think you can rent the condos too but I'm not sure. Late June is a good time to go but be aware that it's going to be busy! Pretty much from the time school gets out until it starts again in Sept. the Dells are busy. Btw, I second the Moose Jaw, we love their thick crust pizza.
  • Even in June the weather is not perfect, so I'd go for a place with an indoor waterpark, like pp's said Kalahari and Wildnerness are nice.  dells. dot com has a list of different resorts and attractions.

Be sure to go to the Ducks!  And don't waste your money at the upside down white house.
