Madison moms...? about return policies

I know they can differ around the country but I also know that Target generally has crap return policies.  Anyway, I'm curious what you think of the return policies at BRU and Target.  Did you have any issue with your registry?  Not asking for myself but for a friend who is getting grief (and lectures) about her registry choices.  I'm just trying to gather some info for her.  Thanks :-)

I think the return policies for national chains are pretty standard from store to store. At Target, you can't return anything without a gift receipt, not even if it was on your registry. This is a recent change, I believe, as it wasn't that way when I registered. They also really stink at getting things taken off your registry so its easy to get duplicates.

BRU lets you return without a receipt, which is awesome.
