I was wondering if you'd be able to answer some questions about your ivf at the clinic in Gurnee.  Did you see any RE's here in Milwaukee before deciding to use the Gurnee clinic?  How did you handle the travel back and forth?

I've been seeing Dr. Strawn at Froedtert but just found out that my insurance will cover the doctors in Gurnee and they have a better success rate so I'm thinking about going to them if I end up choosing to do ivf.

Thanks and I hope everything is going well with your pregnancy.  I just loved being pregnant and hope you are getting to enjoy it as well.
Kelly, Mom to Christopher Shannon 9.27.06, Catherine Quinn 2.24.09, Trey Barton lost on 12.28.09, Therese Barton lost on 6.10.10, Joseph Sullivan 7.23.11, and our latest, Victoria Maren 11.15.12

Secondary infertility success with IVF, then two losses, one at 14 weeks and one at 10 weeks, then success with IUI and then success with condoms! Who would ever have guessed.

Re: ***Runsalot***

  • Hi! Yes we used Froedtert - Dr. Strawn and Dr. Robb for our IUIs. We did three. We liked the Dr and the nurses, no problems at all. We were going to continue IVF there until we were told about Dr. Sherbahn and the Advanced Fertility Clinic by a friend. We went there for the success rates and also because thats all they do, IVF and they take a limited amount of couples per cycle. They seemed to really personalize you treatments. Very specific. I know three of us that went down there and everything was so different for each of us. From downtown Milwaukee it's an hour drive. The are open at 6:30 am so during the IVF when you have to go in every other day I was able to go early and still be at work on time. Totally worth it. email me if you have more questions. I'll be more that happy to help! tracey.hanson@gmail.com
