  • Finish Line Automotive, Jason Sharp.  My old Navigator broke down all the damn time and he was FANTASTIC with fixing it, he also does the cars for my husband's car dealership.  We've been going to him for about 4 years and have no complaints.  He's on 82nd.

  • I know you asked for places in NW, but if you feel like driving to Sellwood, Tom Dwyer Automotive is fantastic.

  • I've been very impressed with Lukas Auto. It's just over the Burnside bridge (1722 E Burnside). I had body work done, I don't know if they do more than body work but I definitely trust them. They were fabulous, easy to work with and all around nice guys (they even helped me move the babyseat from the rental back to my car).
  • I don't know the name of the place anymore, but I once went to a shop in NW. It's between Burnside and Everett next to the Fred Meyer (I'm thinking NW19th?) They were very helpful.
  • Everett Street Auto Works on NW 5th and Everett.  I know the owner and I think they do a good job there.
  • I've had a couple really good encounters with Everett Street Auto Works, and so has my husband's best friend. My dad is a mechanic in California so I always get quotes and an idea of what should be done and how much it should cost before I get anything done, and they've been right on both times.
