Oregon Nesties
Dear Community,
Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.
If you have questions about this, please email help@theknot.com.
Thank you.
Note: This only affects The Nest's community members and will not affect members on The Bump or The Knot.
Let me know if there's anything you'd like to see inside.

Here are some links I've found useful in the past:

This one gives useful descriptions about the different neighborhoods in Portland.
http://www.johnlscott.com/
This website from realtor John L Scott is probably the most useful for checking out houses that are for sale in the area based on location, price, and specific search criteria. You can browse it regardless of whether you have a realtor who is with John L. Scott.
http://www.portlandonline.com/transportation/index.cfm?a=haccb&c=deiaj
This website shows very useful bike maps. It might help avid bikers pick a place to live where they have easy access to bike friendly paths into work.
My amateur photo blog
is really good for getting stats on your (potential) neighborhood
