Oh that sounds so traumatic for everyone involved--so sorry for all of you. What an incredible thing, though, that you and your husband are able to be the foster parents---I imagine it would be a thousand times worse if she was with strangers.
I'm constantly worried about DS having an accident that looks like abuse. He's just learning to walk, and I feel like a helicopter parent around him, precisely because of stories like theis...We have to protect kids, but there are such things as just terrible mistakes/unlucky accidents. That's crazy that they won't release her into her father's custody.
You guys are in my thoughts and I hope this gets resolved as soon as possible!!
