There is a Spaghetti Factory in Tacoma... Mmm, mizithra cheese.
The Museum of Glass is also pretty neat. The Chihuly Bridge of Glass is free and worth a visit.
You could also wander around the UW Tacoma campus.
That's the extent of my Tacoma knowledge. Have fun.
Are you in the military or reserves at Fort Lewis? Just curious.
Try the Harmon Brewery. Its in "downtown" Tacoma (as much of a downtown as Tacoma has anyway) on Pacific Ave. Decent food, good beer.

I love my Girls/Boys in blue. My Dad was a lifer. The other base in WA, Fairchild, was one of my faves. I started HS there. I remember being really dissapionted when we were re-stationed at WPAFB in Ohio. WA made me fall in love with this part of the country...I'm so glad to be back!
Oh and thanks, by the way, for all that you do. I hope you'll be stateside for a long, long time.
