Pregnant Nestie Check-In ****
(No, I'm NOT pregnant -- 1 and done, thank you)
I just wanted to see how everyone is doing. I know we've got a couple of pregnant Nesties here (=
Is everyone feeling ok? Getting nurseries ready and all that kind of stuff?
Anything you feel like sharing (names, plans, decor, cute outfits, sex of baby, whatever you feel like)? No need to share if you don't want to, just let us know you're still out there!
Re: Pregnant Nestie Check-In ****
I'm doing well, and I hope to hold on for 5 more weeks. The girls are HUGE! They were measuring over 4 pounds at 30 weeks 5 days. They'll be over 7 pounds at 38 weeks if they keep growing at this rate. The nursery is ready, the gear is bought, and the doulas are ready help. We need to practice our Hypnobirth scripts more than we have been. And, I've totally slacked on writing thank you notes.
What else . . . The girls' names are Gracen Rose and Rowan Colette - named after our paternal grandfathers. We're hoping to do an unmedicated birth at Emanuel. We've been really good about only buying/registering for what we really need. I think we have less stuff than most people have for one baby. Two somewhat different things we're doing are using Amby swings and cloth diapering. I think that's about all there is to share.
Things are going well. I'm finally getting over the "morning" sickness, which is nice. I'm still able to fit into my regular clothes, which is another nice thing. No out of the ordinary stuff going on. We haven't really started looking at baby furniture or anything like that. We'll probably wait until we find out the sex, which will be in April.
This is out first baby, so we're pretty excited. We're due in late August. Delivering at Good Sam.
Thanks for thinking about us! :-)
So far so good! No bad m/s through the first trimester...just little bouts of nausea here and there. I finally began to "pop" a couple weeks ago--yay! Now the challenge is making my regular clothes fit as long as possible
We painted the nursery a couple weekends ago and have most of the major furniture...we just need to get a chair in there...all the decor (fun modern type decorations) and oragnizational things for her armoire. We will begin to really register in a couple weeks...baby shower(s) planning has begun...I just can't believe we are more than halfway. It's crazy but in a good way. She's begun kicking and it's so neat to watch AND feel for her.
So it's a GIRL! Her name is Mila and she will be making her appearence sometime around June 19.
If you're curious--pictures of the tummy progress and some nursery pics are at:

I don't have the motivation to add them to my bio. (Sigh, not like when I was a "knottie". Hahah)
Hope everyone one is doing well!
We're thinking Molly for her name....Molly Annette M. I am not quite sold on the initials, but like the combo. Annette is a grandma. All of our grandmas have "A" names though, except Olga, which wasn't in the running!
I *think* we've finally decided on a crib, although I am beginning to wonder if we should consider a cage the way I get kicked these days...I think we're going to have a little monster. I know she's only going to get stronger too.
First tourist of the Season:
Congrats ladies, you have a whole new world ahead of you and its an amazing one!
I'm actually having a great pregnancy and we have pretty much everything planned/picked out so all we need now is the baby .
