VENT: Looking for a rental house SUCKS!
Ugh! We've been looking for almost 4 weeks and it SUCKS. What the heck? I'm so tired of "NO PETS." They aren't pets folks- They are family!

It took FOREVER for us to find a place that would take Leo. Apparently, in Oregon, GSD's are also labeled as violent aggressive monsters with an intrinsic appetite for baby flesh. That couldn't be further from the truth. They are loving dogs who protect thier families-especially children. They will 'herd' them away from danger. Our cat gets so mad bc Leo won't let him near the stove.
Anyway, when we did move in, they made us attach a rider to our renters policy covering bite litigation and so on. Which is fine if they required that of everyone, but they only ask that of the 'dangerous' breeds.
So...I feel your pain.
FYI -- Hunt Club Apartments has the most lenient pet policies I've seen ... but I know you might be looking for a house only.
