My poor heart aches.
We did respite care last night and a tiny 6 week old is sleeping beside me. I shouldn't get attached but I can't help it. I have no idea where she will eventually be placed but I really want it to be here.
We had to say no to a placement last night. It was awful and I think I will feel guilty forever. It wasn't right but it was still so hard. I will tell the story, when I have more energy, on my blog.
I just want a little one to come and stay for awhile, not just a night or two. I can't take the waiting anymore.
Little one is crying and now so am I. Please send hugs.

You are in our thoughts, hearts and of course prayers!
You can't feel guilty about something that wasn't right.
Best of luck with your respite care little one - I can imagine how hard it is not to get attached. Just remember what a wonderful thing you are doing and know that it is all worth it.

You will know in your heart when it is the right fit for you. If you don't feel right about a placement go with your gut because this is soo important not just to you but for the child.
Enjoy the little one you have for the respite care, just chalk it up to practice you will need really soon... I know it is coming for you.
And I still haven't fighred out your blog password

I can't imagine how hard it must be, but please know that you are doing of the best things anyone can do for a child, and that they are very blessed to be with you even if it's only a day.
