Woop- just got Wicked tickets!!!!!

They went on sale at 10am (ticketmaster.com) and I was online waiting at 9:58 :)

I got 4 tickets, but for two different nights bc Matt's schedule is so crazy. We'll go one night while my parents watch Elise and they'll go the other night. We were able to get great seats, 6 rows back, center, for Tuesday June 16 and 8 rows back, center, for Sun the 21st.

I'm so excited! We both love Broadway and I have been dying to see Wicked!

Anyone else going to try and get tix??

Re: Woop- just got Wicked tickets!!!!!

  • we're planning to go, don't know which night yet though. did you seriously pay that convience charge- yikes!
  • We bought discounted tickets through DH's work back in February for the June 25th performance.  I know we're lower level towards the center, but don't recall the row....
  • One of my coworkers got tickets. I saw the convience charge and thought it was a little crazy too. John and I saw it in Houston a couple of years ago. It's really great. It's very different from the book though.

  • I saw this in NYC a couple years ago and it is DEFINITELY worth seeing.

I know seat selection is a personal preference, but I think that this is a show that is better from at least mid orchestra. There's SO much going on on stage and the staging is such an important part of the show, that you miss some of it the closer you are. But, I guess you also get to see facial expressions, etc. better too. Anyway...just my $.02.?

  • Jealous! ?I don't think I have been to the Majestic since I bought The Lion King VIP tix for Danielle and myself. ?We were 3rd row center closest to the aisle - which was cool because Danielle got to see the?costumes?close up when they came off the stage for the opening number.

We had so much fun on our mother/daughter outing. ?We dressed up for the theater and I took her to dinner at?Spaghetti?Warehouse before the show. =)

  • It is by far one of my favorite shows!!! We saw it a few years ago in Houston and loved every minute. My dad and step mom are season ticket holders so they bought us tickets in December and gave them to us for Christmas. We are in the 3rd row for the June 27th preformance. SOO excited!!
  • Ooo.. how exciting!  I got some too!  I got some awhile back because it was for a large group...but your seats are fantastic!

  • Yay! ?I found out one of my clients has box seats, and she is bartering with me for them for one of the later-in-the-month showings...sooooo?psyched!
