I was wondering if anyone could help me think of a location for my daughter's 1st birthday party. I was hoping to have it at the Travel Town Museum or the Santa Monica Carousel, but both are booked already. I'm planning to have about 30 guests (and only 5 are kids).
Re: First Birthday Party
I just had my son's b-day party at Travel Town. We had a blast.
You know, there are picnic tables that are open to the public, with no reservations. If you get there right when they open and hold the tables until your party you could still have the party there. I saw lots of people do that when we had our party.
unrelated but I just read this on a baby board here. A good idea for 1st birthday parties - to buy the Dr. Suess "Birthday" book and leave it out for all your guests to sign. It'll be a nice keepsake for your little one! I thought it was such a cute idea and I will definitely do that.
Hope you find a great place.
Thanks for the suggestions. I can't choose a different weekend due to work schedules and other scheduling conflicts.
Are the pinic areas at Travel Town covered?
I will definitely use the idea about the Dr. Seuss book!
The non-reserved tables are not covered with a canopy, but you can bring your own. I saw a lot of people with their own canopy over the tables. Also, you can bring extra tables and chairs, if need be. I also think you might be able to rent some. But I can't confirm that.
