I'm looking for moving boxes...

We're trying to find boxes for our move, which is 3 weeks from this weekend. We've talked to a couple people through craig's list, but haven't found any yet. It just seems so wasteful to buy a bunch of them when I know there are so many boxes floating around out there already! Does anyone have any they would like to sell or give away? Sorry, no boxes here.....but I know that liquor stores and bars are a GREAT place to get boxes.  They are good sturdy boxes, and usually not horribly big.

Grocery stores & fast food places always have tons of boxes they are just throwing out.

grocery stores are usually great. Also, if you work in an office, or know anyone who does, you might ask there. I always ask for the boxes that the copy paper comes in. It's the perfect size and ours has handles and a lid (perfect for moving).

Hey Erin, when  we moved we went to our local grocery store and got banana boxes.  They are super durable and have lids.  Good luck with the move!

You can also go to the UHaul on Fullerton and Racine, they have FREE used moving boxes there. DH and I brought all of the boxes from our last move there and they were in great condition.
