baby shower question

hey guys- i have a question regarding a baby shower i will be going to this month. a friend of ours is pregnant with triplets. what is the "etiquette" (for lack of a better word...) in gift giving? do i give more since there are 3 babies or the same as if she were only having one? what would you do? thanks in advance!

Re: baby shower question

  • I would maybe give a little more, but I don't know if I would give for three babies.  Do you know anyone else going to ask?
  • I would give more, like extra onesies and stuff.  My aunt is having triplets this fall and I can't imagine all the stuff they will need.  Let me know how that shower goes, I'm curious.  I'm guessing my aunt's will be earlier than normal since triplets usually come early.
  • I've always given more generous gifts to a mom-to-be who is pg with multiples, but I also have a tendency to go totally overboard with baby shower gifts.  It's all so little and cute : )  My sister has twins, and I know the "extra" things she appreciated/used the most were burp cloths and pads, and diapers, and diaper genie refills.
  • thanks for the advice guys!
  • My cousin had twins and we bought extra. I tend to go overboard with favors, gifts, etc., but I did note that several people gave a bit extra. I agree with RSB that diapers, wipes, burb cloths are always great extra gifts.
