MRS. DMC

I am so glad to hear the infection is gone. I am sure you are anxious to get home and have your family together again. I assure you, within a few weeks this will all be such a distant memory and you will soon forget it ever happened.

I'm glad you are having a good experiance with the nurses. I didn't get that when Maddox was in the nicu. I always read the girls on the preemie board who post and say how much the nurses meant to them, and how they were such angels, and so caring. I didn't get that out of our nicu nurses, they made us feel guilty about coming to see our baby, like we were the pesty visitors in their way. Sad At the time, I didn't let it get to me cause I just wanted him to get better and come home so I did what we had to do, not to mention, I didn't have the energy to fight the rules and attitudes. Looking back, I would have told them biotches about their arses. So, if you have to go through this at least the staff is treating you like you do matter.

How horrible that the nurses made you feel that way!  I can't imagine going through the stressful situation you were going through with Maddox and to have it compounded by their lack of compassion and making you feel like you didn't belong there!!!  I am so sorry that you had to go through that.

I know how lucky we are that Ainsley's condition was swiftly taken care of and that the doctors, nurses and staff really seemed to care.  (Although it may have been b/c they thought they were dealing with a nervous, hysterical, crying mess - I cried a lot the first 2-3 days! - and they needed to treat me with kid gloves!!)

Thanks for the advice, I'm sure what you said about this being a distant memory is true.

Re: MRS. DMC

  • Thanks. Once we left the hospital we completely forgot about it. It really was such a distant memory. I always see posts on the preemie board about how the nurses were the "gaudian angels" and how well they treat the parents....it just kind of sparks the memory because we sooooo did not feel that way. Oh well, I guess it's not worth fighting about at this point. There was one nurse who was older that we did really love. I guess she made up for the rest....I hate to even put her in the same unit as the other biotches.

It's probably just me, but it seems like the infection got cleared up quick. Please post some more pictures soon!!!! I wanna see your little pricess.
