crappy morning
I just had the worst hour today. I had to be in the cafe this morning to collect money for a fundraiser. This meant that I didn't have time to really get ready for class. I walked in my room with a couple of minute only to realize that I didn't write or copy the quiz I was giving. I quickly wrote the quiz and just printed enough copies on the printer for first period. While they were taking the quiz I went to set up the projector so that I could do my lesson with the smart board only to realize that I didn't have one to use. I decided to go old school and do the notes on the board but the kids told me another teacher was not using his. I sent a student to get the projector... he brought it back to me only he dumped the projector off the cart. When I turned it on it worked but I couldn't focus it. I sent for our it guy who told me basically I was f**cked and that it was broken. I then had no lesson, had wasted the whole class trying to get ready, and had to go tell a marine that I broke his projector that he got from a grant! With all my hormones I then started to cry and had to leave my classroom to try to collect myself (no luck on that). I told him about the s.n.a.f.u. and he was great (what is he going to do yell at the crying pregnant lady?) Then I returned to my classroom to figure out plan B. I told my work husband who was so nice to me! He then went in and looked at it. Said well if it is broken then you can't break it more. He fiddled with it for a minute and he snaped whatever was out of place back in and it is now fixed. Argh the stress has made me need a nap and I have 3 more classes to teach! I can get through this day I can get through this day!!!
