Next GTG- Ladies Pottery Painting?

Amber had the idea of painting pottery for our next GTG.  Anyone interested?  There is a great little place in Grand Ledge.  The owners are a young newlywed couple and they are super nice.  I could make arrangements for anyone interested.  Are there any days of the week that work better than others for those interested?  I'm excited!  I was thinking we could do it in 2-4 weeks or around in there.

OK first off I have to tell you that I went to mapblast from my house to Grand Ledge to see how far it was before I said yes. I was not paying attention and put in Pinckney Arkansas. Needless to say if you live in Pinckney Arkansas it will take you 10 hours and 37 min to get to Grand Ledge!! Luckily I live in Pinckney MI and it only takes 58 min to get there so I would be a yes! Saturdays are best for me. I know the DH will not be interested but I might bring a girl friend along!

I might be interested, especially if we can plan something before my due date (April 7th). Do you have to be artistic to do this? I have no artistic ability whatsoever but if you can paint something plain I could handle that. I've never done pottery painting before so I have no clue what it involves. Any idea how much it costs? Sorry for all the questions.

I am interested.  What are their hours?  Are they open in the evenings?  Can you take in snacks and drinks?

No, you don't have to be artistic. They have lots of colors and you can do solids if you are scared (at least the one in Marshall is like that). If the hours don't work for ppl in Grand Ledge, we also have a pottery studio in Marshall (which would be closer for Marie! .... and me hehe!). I know the one in Grand Ledge has Saturday morning hours and you can set up "party times." Good idea. I'm excited!

I'll be there, I am soooo stinkin' excited. I loooove painting pottery....and I'm definitely not an artist! How about March 8th?

March 8th works for me too... I went with my friend and was there for at least 4 hrs. and we weren't messing around either.  Piece of Mine closes at 7pm on Saturdays.  What about 2:00?  We can bring snacks and a drink.  They sell snacks but they are kind of expensive.

Could we do it more toward noon? I have something that evening that starts around 6 and I don't want to be rushed!

I'm so sorry ladies but I can't do March 8th. We're having our shower that day! But go ahead without me since the date works for everyone else and I'll be there if you decide to paint pottery again!
