Florence/Columbia area nesties
hello from the NC board. my husband was presented with a nice career opportunity that would require him to work at their plant in Florence. i don't know much about Florence except that its small. the idea of living there does not make me too happy. however, we need to go check it out for ourselves to see first hand.
would it be realistic to commute from an eastern suburb of Columbia? or is there a nice town inbetween Columbia and Florence? i need to be near a larger city for my own job - I work in broadcast TV and advertising. we currently live in Charlotte and like it very well.
thank you!
Re: Florence/Columbia area nesties
Hey Katie!
Don't you hang over on the D&R board with me? Anyways, Florence really is a small town, but some people like that. I know several people that live on the far North East side of Columbia and commute. It is a longer drive, but depends on if you want to be in a small city or a big one.
I work in the real estate field, so if I can be any help to you, let me know.
thanks for the help! it seems like commuting from Columbia would be a pretty far commute.
so you know the area really well probably, what towns in that area would you consider. i haven't heard very positive things about Florence.
my DH has his RE license for N. and S.Carolina so we have that to our advantage already. he doesn't practice RE full-time but his license is active.
Even from the NE side of Columbia, Florence is still over an hour commute. That would be to long of a commute for me. There aren't any large cities between Columbia and Florence. GL.
