Mt. Pleasant Subdivisions?

Hi Everyone

My husband and I are planning to relocate to Mount Pleasant this summer.  Do you have any thoughts about the subdivisions?

We've seen and like houses in Planter's Pointe and Park West.

Any comments would be helpful!
Thanks

Re: Mt. Pleasant Subdivisions?

  • Where will you be working? Park West is a really long drive to downtown b/c of the traffic and stop lights.

ION <--everyone I work with is moving there.
    Some off Rifle Range Road
    Old Village
    Brickyard

Now I don't have first hand experience with all of these, but you could check them out online.

  • Belle Hall is really nice too. It is off Long Point Rd.

  • I live in Park West, but I have to say - where you work will play a huge role in where you'll want to live in Mt. P because of the traffic.  If you'll be commuting to the north area everyday, PW, Dunes West, Planter's Pointe, Brickyard, Rivertowne and Horlbeck Creek are good options - as well as Belle Hall.  There's also Hamlin Plantation and Charleston National that are close to HWY 41 but across HWY 17.  If you'll be commuting downtown, you'll want to be farther in Mt. Pleasant - neighborhoods along Mathis Ferry Road and the Old Village.  If you have any other questions about the area, feel free to page me.

    HTH!
